In 1998, after six years of instructing yoga, Larain Ashby  and opened her own studio in Owensboro, Ky.

Larain Ashby is a certified Yoga instructor. She has designed and taught Yoga Ball classes since 2002 at her studio, local health clubs as well as community programs. She has designed a Yoga Ball certification program and will be offering one or two courses in 2007.     

Larain is Hatha Yoga certified with an Iyengar foundation certified through the “Lighten Up Yoga” certification program of Asheville, N.C. She is also a certified Multiple Sclerosis Yoga Instructor with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Kentucky-Southeast Indiana Chapter.
She is Pilates certified through FiTOUR in 2004.

She has instructed for some community programs as well; OCC Continuing Education, Owensboro/Daviess County Continuing Education Programs, the Parks and Recreation Programs, and Almost Family.

        Larain has trained with Lillah Schwarts, Eric Larsen, Rodney Yee, Kali Ray of Tri Yoga, Doraine Bailey of Tri Yoga, Laura Spaulding of Yoga East, Donna O’Bryan of Yoga East, Judi Rice, Dean Lerner, and anatomy instructor Roger Cole.

The course will be offered at Ashby's Yoga studio in Owensboro Ky.
